Family Worship Service – FAQ

  1. What if I want to check my kids into regular kids programming still, is that ok?
Yes! The 9am service will be exactly like before. You can check them into from age birth through 5th grade. They will have the same teaching and worship as before.
  2. Can I bring my kids into service with me during the 9am?
Of course. You are always welcome to bring your little ones into the main auditorium.
  3. Why did you decide to make the change?
We believe that the American family can be very fractured and separated during the week. We wanted to give families a chance to spend important time together and worship with one another. Plus, there’s a lot that little ones can learn by A) watching their parents worship, B) watching their parents give C) learning how to sit still when necessary, etc. And there’s a lot that we can learn from watching children worship. As a matter of fact, Jesus told us that we should model our faith on theirs!
  4. What if my kids make noise and get a little rowdy?
We totally expect that and we intend to embrace it. Obviously, 2 year olds can’t sit totally quiet for too long – they weren’t designed by God like that! So we are going to do our best to make the service A) a little shorter B) more kid friendly and interesting where appropriate. If you feel like your kids are being too loud you have the option to take them into the Children’s Ministry (we plan to have the service on the TVs in there) so they can where they can move around a little. However, this will be your choice.
  5. I don’t have any young kids, can I still be a part of the Family Worship Experience?
Enthusiastically, YES! You may not be part of a nuclear family anymore but you are still a part of GOD’S FAMILY. All through the Bible there are amazing examples of adults leading younger people whether they are related or not. Paul instructed Timothy to make sure the older women taught the younger women and the older men taught the younger men. So, no matter what your age and whether you have kids you are welcomed to be a part of this service. We are a family!
